Dawn breaks cold over Fire Moon territory. I stand in my Alpha office, hands behind my back, staring out at the pack lands.

'She let us hold her,' Arthur murmurs. Still drunk on last night.

I can't think about Lynn right now. About her scent, her warmth, the way she finally stopped fighting.

Right now, I have different business.
