Naomi's scent trail leads into the parking structure. Up. She's running up the stairwell instead of to her car.

Smart. She knows I'm faster on flat ground.

Istha snarls and launches us after her, taking the concrete stairs in massive leaps. Our claws scrape against the walls as we climb.

There—movement above. A flash of blonde hair, designer boots pounding up the steps.
