Michael's hands are warm on my waist.

"I'm really sorry about today," he murmurs against my neck. "Missing the beach. Missing time with you and the kids."

We're on the couch. He's pulled me close. His lips trail along my jaw.

"It's fine," I breathe. "We had a good time anyway."
