The word echoes in my head long after Lira says it.

My five-year-old daughter. Calling Grayson daddy like it's the most natural thing in the world.

Like he's been there all along.

I'm still processing when Baron speaks up. "Can we stay here tonight?"

Both kids are looking at me. Wide green eyes. Hopeful.
