Grayson was standing face-to-face with a wolf. He looks into its dark eyes, trying to gain some semblance of insight into what it could be thinking. The wolf blinks at him, trustingly.

He reaches a hand out and the wolf closes its eyes. Grayson scratches behind its ear.

The wolf leans into him and Grayson can see its tail twitching. After a moment, Grayson drops his hand and the wolf looks up at him. It exhales in disappointment and steps back.
