Rhett watched as her expression became hard like a rock. Her voice was not loud. Rhett knew she was serious.

"You got what you wanted, " Rhett said in a tone.

"I did not ask you to do any of that, " Akira replied. "You carried me here on your own so do not think I owe you any thanks."

"That is not the point, " Rhett said.
