Cole and Nicole got out of the truck accompanied by one of Chloe’s men on the team, the one driving. They walked towards the truck and the soldiers driving didn’t notice anything suspicious until they heard gunshots. 

The loud sound of the wind made it hard for the soldiers behind to notice any foul play. They only noticed the door opened and then closed and then the open space where they used to communicate with the drivers was shut.
