Marielle's POV
Or even take it a step further?
With everything that has happened and from what I have heard from Mirena, it's seems Rylan is truly obsessed with me. I have sworn never to have anything to do with that asshole.. but I swear I can go to any lengths to hurt Mirena where it stings the most.
So what if I seduce both the twin and Rylan so she loses at both ends?
Then when they all fall in love with me… I'd be the one to reject them. I'd be the one to pay them back for abandoning me.
That would be crazy.. this would make me nothing but a whore—their plaything. But then.. what honour do I have anymore? I have lost everything… my place, my dignity and I'm the object of mockery, so what more is there to lose? And if I don't act fast.. I'd lose my life too.
I stared at the rumpled parchment paper in my hands, squeezed it and threw it in the trash. I shouldn't leave the cheerleading team yet.
But then… how would I seduce them? The twins would want nothing to do with me with our altercation earlier, while Rylan hated my size. But I won't give up.
I turned and walked back to the lecture hall, my mind figuring out how I'll start my plans.
I stepped back into the hall and I noticed that all heads were turned back. My eyes followed and landed on the twins.... they were sitting—just beside me, their eyes landed on mine but just as quickly they looked away.
How are they studying Herbalife and Healing major too?
My chest pounded as I approached my seat.
“They are so handsome,” a student said.
“I heard their father is the most powerful Alpha in North California,” another student chipped in.
“If only they can be mine.“
I didn't say a word—i just slide into my seat, their heat radiate off me but I dare not look in their direction.
Minutes passed before Mirena and her side kicks sauntered in. Her eyes found mine and she smirked. My heart clenched painfully when I remembered her word: a plus.
We are not studying the same course, so what was she doing here?
Had she already began her seduction games so quickly?
Mirena approached us confidently, swaying her hips with purpose and I threw my head away—in an attempt to avoid the sight of how she looked effortlessly beautiful in that body con dress and ankle length boots. While I was wearing a baggy jeans and polo—just to hide the surplus flesh.
“Get lost, fatty” Elara spat, and a mocking laugh erupted from my course mates.
“Excuse me.“ I turned towards their direction. “This is my seat?“
“Your seat…” Anna repeated. “We know but the future Luna wants to sit on it and welcome the Great Princ.“
Future Luna?
A bitter laugh bubbled in my throat as I stared at Mirena who was staring down at me like I'm nothing in her presence.
“I don't care. Just leave me alone, Anna.“
Shocked gasps, inaudible whispers echoed through the room. Of course, no one had expected me to retort back. If it was in the past, I'd have given up my seat obediently. But not anymore.
“Did you know who you're talking to, fatty?” Elara growled. “She is your future Luna and you should never dare to speak to her in such a rash manner.“
“Leave her alone, Elara,” Mirena purred, her voice infuriatingly sweet. “My sister is still angry with me because her mate chose me… but it isn't my fault, right? Rylan wanted someone beautiful and sexy… and not a shapeless Omega.“
I heaved in anger and I realized I couldn't take the insults anymore. No.. I have to put her in her place.
I sprang up to my feet and slammed my fists on the table, my eyes blazed. “Beautiful and sexy?“ I scoffed coldly. “Cut the crap, Mirena. We both know that Rylan didn't chose you because he loved you—you were the one who seduced him like the slut that you are.“
My words hung in the air, releasing thick tension. It seems like no one was talking; no one was breathing either; just curious eyes—watching like a hawk and waiting to see how their queen would retaliate.“
Mirena cast a wary glance across the room, like she couldn't believe her ears. “What did you just say?“ She screamed, through gritted fangs, her claws digging into her palm.
Good.
This was the first time she was this angry. My words definitely got to her and my heart swelled with joy.
“I. Said. You're. Nothing. Other. Than. A. Whore,” I repeated slowly, just so she could remember the words for the rest of her miserable life.
Then I leaned in, my breath warm against hers as I whispered—just loud enough for only her to hear. “if he truly loves you.. then he won't still be obsessed with me. Did you know.. he told me your pussy is so loose and doesn't take him well? Did you even know that he asked that I come and pleasure him tonight.“
Mirena's body trembled with rage. “You bitch…”
She raised her hand to slap me but I caught it mid air. “Don't you dare lay your filthy hands on me ever again, Mirena.“ With all the strength inside me, I toss her hand away and she staggered backward.
She laughed—cold and bitter. Her eyes widened in shock. “Seize her,” she ordered her minions. “I should remind my sister where exactly she belongs.“
Before I could blink, Elara and Anna obeyed and seized either side of my arms. “Leave me, alone.“ I thrashed against them, fear raging inside me.
I glanced at the twins, but they remained seated and calm.. like they were unaware of everything happening around them. Not like I expected them to save but at least..
It's the painful truth, but no one except Mandy—my dorm mate and best friend is coming to save me. But Mandy isn't here.. she is a different department.
“Oh.. are you scared, fatty?” she sneered, tilting her face forward. “Next time.. you will know never to mess with Mirena Cross.“
Her hands reached out to grab my hair but before she could, Soren's voice cut through the tension like a blade.
“What the fuck is happening here?“ he growled, anger flashing in his eyes.
Mirena tucked her hair at the back of her ear and turned with a graceful smile on her face. “Apologies, Great prince.. I'm Mirena Cross, Rylan's mate and future Luna.“ Then she extended her hand. “It's so nice to meet you.“
Soren stood and glanced down at her hand. “It's not nice to meet you, Mirage,” he spat, his voice condescending. “So does being Rylan mate gives you the right to bully others?“
Mirage?
For a second, the word Mirage seemed to hang in the air like smoke—twisting, curling, settling into every ear in the lecture hall.
Snickers broke out in the back. Someone whispered, “Mirage… that’s hilarious,” and other students muffled a laugh.
I pressed my lips together, forcing myself not to laugh, but my shoulders shook with the effort. Oh, it was delicious—the way her flawless mask cracked in front of everyone.
The smile washed off Mirena’s face instantly. Her jaw clenched, her nostrils flared, but she recovered fast enough. “My name is Mirena, my Prince” she said smoothly, but I can hear the pain in every words, “not Mirage.”
Soren snarled, his lip curling. “I don’t give a fuck what your name is.”
