When we finally reach the cabin, I'm feeling both drained and elated. Drained, because halfway through the drive, the kids woke up and demanded their favorite songs, and elated, because their singing contest quickly escalated into Roldan and me joining them, all of us belting lyrics louder than the car speakers could handle. For a full hour, it’s utter chaos, more shouting than actual singing.
