I knelt beside the High Priestess, my hand hovering uncertainly over her back. 

The air still rippled with the energy she had used to teleport us. “High Priestess… just breathe. We’re safe now.”

She gave a faint nod, but her eyes were distant and troubled.

We spread out in the shrine hall, pacing, arguing, falling into a desperate silence, then circling back into frantic whispers again.

None of our ideas made sense.
