When I opened my eyes, the room looked strange and quiet. 

Soft light came through the curtains, and I could smell something like medicine in the air. My body felt weak and heavy, and every part of me ached.

Then I saw Claire sitting beside me. She was holding my arm gently, cleaning the place where the mark was. It was glowing softly, and the light made me feel both scared and confused.
