We rushed outside into complete chaos.

The camp had transformed into a battlefield in seconds. 

Rogues poured from the tree line, more than I'd expected, their faces twisted with rage and desperation. 

But our soldiers were already moving, forming defensive lines, shields raised, weapons drawn.
