Betty's POV.

Inside, nestled in silk, was a pendant. A simple silver thing with a stone that caught the light like captured starlight. But it was the note beneath that made my breath catch.

"This was my mother's. It's meant to be worn by someone who sees clearly, even when the world tries to obscure the truth. You deserve to know everything. You've always deserved that. I'm sorry I forgot." - D
