Claire’s POV. 

The night was quiet, and the full moon was shining brightly above the shrine. I stood outside the circle with the others, and my heart was heavy as the High Priestess’s words kept replaying in my mind.

“Your fate is tied to Alpha Xavier,” she had told me. “When the time comes, the bond will test your heart.”

Those words left me confused and afraid. I didn’t understand why fate would link me to Xavier.
