I blinked at the bright screen, confused for a second before the sender’s name registered.

“Megan?” I mumbled aloud. “It’s from Megan.”

“Lecture… tomorrow?” My voice rose. “Wait!. She said the lecture is starting tomorrow morning. And” I swallowed hard. “And the winner of the exhibition will be announced tomorrow by eight.”

My heart instantly dropped to my stomach.
