Betty's POV. 

I couldn’t stop smiling. Every time I replayed that moment, the warmth of his lips, the way time had slowed, the faint scent of cedar still lingering on my skin, I felt my cheeks flush all over again. 

I pressed a pillow to my face, trying to muffle the ridiculous little giggles that kept escaping me.

The moonlight slipped through the curtains, silvering everything it touched, and I swore even the air in the room felt lighter.
