By the time we arrived at the estate the next day, the late afternoon sun had already begun settling over the water.

The venue looked different from the last time we’d been here.

Not because the estate itself had changed, but because the final wedding details had finally been put in place.

More flowers lined the aisle, the tables on the terrace had been fully decorated, and the small touches we only saw being arranged during the rehearsal were now finished.
