Elena’s pov

I stormed out of the suite, vision blurry with tears. My body was shaking so badly I could barely walk straight.

I couldn’t breathe. My chest felt tight, like someone was squeezing my lungs.

I stumbled down the hallway toward the elevator and jabbed the button over and over like that would magically make it come faster.

“Come on… please, come on.”

“Ma’am? Are you okay?” a voice said behind me. A staff member worried, moving closer. “Do you need anything?”
