After what happened at the bar, Jaecob drove me back to the condo. As soon as we arrived, I immediately packed mine and Jairee’s things. We agreed that he would pick us up early the next morning.

As I stuffed Jairee’s clothes into the suitcase, Austin’s voice kept echoing in my mind—his broken promises replaying over and over. I knew it was only a matter of time before he tracked us down, so we had to leave before he arrived. I didn’t want to see him anymore.
