Austin’s POV

I fell asleep drunk last night. Now, as I wake up, it feels like my head is exploding. My eyelids are heavy, my throat is painfully dry, and my chest weighs even heavier with the memory of what I discovered yesterday.

I can still feel the sting in my knuckles, a reminder of the anger I tried to release by punching the wall. But it’s my heart that’s more wounded.
