My eyelids felt heavy, but I forced them open little by little. The first thing I noticed was the softness beneath me. Yes, I was lying on a soft bed.

I bit my lip as I struggled to lift my eyes. The light was bright but not blinding. Once I could finally see my surroundings, a wave of panic hit me as I recalled what had happened earlier. I was kidnapped.
