Just like yesterday, we were all back at school again. The moment I walked through the gate, the construction workers greeted me. I greeted them back—they were respectful and polite. They weren’t the type to act rude or attention-seeking.

“Go on, get closer. Maybe you want to end up like Tonyo,” one worker joked, immediately catching my attention.

Who’s Tonyo?

“Who is Tonyo?” I asked, my curiosity taking over.

“Janneth’s husband,” another answered.
