I left Elijah's question hanging. I instead switched to less emotional and personal topics, and for the next few minutes, ease returned. Ezra was positive with his responses and soon, we were done.

I walked them out of the office and we were back at the living room where the ladies were having their own little chat. Ezra bade everyone goodbye as he left for the accomodations reserved for him.

Once he was out, I turned to Elijah.

"I spoke with Tamara earlier today."
