I had disobeyed him. That was the first thing.

He told me not to leave the room. Not to come to the council.

And I did both.

Then I spoke. Loudly. In front of all those Alphas. In front of him. I stood beside him like I had a right.

Did I cross a line?

Would he even look at me again? Talk to me? Or was this it? Would he send me back to my pack? Or worse walk past me like I never mattered?

My stomach twisted just thinking about it.
