“Someone’s at the door,” I state as the doorbell chimes again.

“Who’s at the door?” Ren’s voice calls through the phone.

“Stay here,” Paul commands, passing the phone to me, and taking it off of speakerphone. I placed the phone to my ear.

“Speak to me, Ellie,” Ren practically begs me as my breath caught in my chest.

“Paul’s checking the peephole,” I whisper in the phone.
