“How is he doing?” Ren asks me quietly.

Once things had been decided in the diner on the outside of town, it had been agreed that Ren and Cheska would leave from our apartment. I could tell that the sweet, yet deadly man who had earned every part of who I was wasn’t ready to let go of his baby sister. I wasn’t willing to rush him.
