The helicopter hovered above us, and a thick line came down. Luke grabbed me and pulled me out of the way.

I didn’t understand at first, but then a guy came gliding down the line. He landed hard on the ground and lifted the visor on his helmet.

“Luke Carter?” he asked, pointing at Luke.
