We all stand around the kitchen island, unmoving and unspeaking, staring at the flash drive Asher had placed beneath the flowerpot before he died.

It’s evening now, which is nice because I feel like we do our best productive thought at this hour. We also have the most fun when everyone is asleep but it’s not on our minds right now.
