Rose's POV

The trip home took longer than it likely should have. The gravity of all that had just transpired seemed to be in the air, pressing down on me with each passing minute. The car drove through city lights as I gazed out at the lights passing by, but I did not notice. Angelina, her words, and that feeling of doubt she had planted in me took over in my mind. I couldn’t shake that sense that something was wrong, though, at the same time, I did not think I wanted to address it.
