I pushed the button to gain entry and headed upstairs, filled with excitement. As soon as I walked in, Elijah stood at the door, grinning broadly while he opened it.

“Hello,” he remarked, moving aside to permit my entrance. “It's nice to see you.”

I mirrored his smile, experiencing the well-known comfort of his presence. “It's nice to see you as well.”
