I paced back and forth in the lobby, my mind racing with thoughts of Cole. Why was he ignoring me? Had I lost him forever? The uncertainty gnawed at me, making my stomach twist with anxiety.

As I turned a corner, I saw Cole walking towards me. My heart skipped a beat as our eyes met. I tried to greet him, but he made to walk away, ignoring me once again.
