Amelia’s POV

I turned around swiftly and ran into his waiting arms. He enveloped me in a warm hug.

I felt so much at peace in his arms and when I drew back gently from the hug, his lips stretched into a smile.

“Cole. It's quite a surprise,” I said breathlessly.

“Yes. I flew in this morning,” he moved an inch closer to me. “To support a dear friend. Hope we are still friends, Amelia?”

“Of course Cole. You never stopped being a friend to me.”
