Amidst the amount of workload I had on my desk, I couldn't concentrate. My mind kept wandering back to Cole.

I was blinded by the betrayal and pain I felt. Which made me disregard his words. All these while, he was telling the truth.

But I was brutal in my approach. I thought another betrayal would play out if I gave him a chance.

Barbara did it so well and her acts convinced me. I breathed out, somehow glad that she had left the fashion house and would not be returning anytime ...
