Amelia POV

The taxi arrived in front of the hotel which towered over me like a gleaming glass and polished marble building.

In sharp contrast to Aunt Margot's home. It was even more lavish than I had anticipated.

The meter was ticking higher than I had anticipated and I felt a tiny twinge of guilt as I paid the driver.

I was losing hope on this whole thing in a number of ways. I inhaled deeply, the city air heavy with the smell of petrol and something slightly flowery.
