Jayden Park Point of view.
Earlier on that day,
I just dropped Jane off at home, and I'm still deeply shaken by everything that happened. Seeing her cry because of something I did really affected me in a way I can't explain. I was trying to feel like she was mine, and because of that, I almost lost her for good. I feel like she does everything to push me away, says things to hurt me, and denies what she feels for me all the time. But no one kisses like that if they feel nothing. When she's in my arms, she surrenders in a way no other woman ever has to me. From the first day, I wanted her to be mine, and after today, I'm sure I'm in love, but I don't know how to deal with it.
I decide to go straight to the office to see how things are going and make sure everything is running smoothly. I delegated many tasks to Daon, and I know he's more than capable of being a CEO, but I'm not proud to admit that part of the reason I did it was to keep him busy, traveling a lot, so I could have more free time with Jane. I knew what I was doing was wrong, but by this point, I couldn't separate personal from professional anymore. I would use every possible means to have her, and if this is one of them, I don't mind.
Arriving at the office, I see Daon engrossed with one of the new Mix artists recording his solo album. I was glad to see them working on it because Daon has worked for thirteen years for this, so I was really proud. I feel lost looking at the emptying corridors of Mix due to time. I feel that Jane was very upset after what I did, and I wanted to find a way to apologize, but I didn't know how.
I've never been in a relationship. I've always worked a lot and enjoyed life by being with women of various types, so I never had to apologize or face arguments, but she made me want to go beyond my own barriers. I needed to talk to someone but didn't know who to turn to. Ironically, the only person I wanted to talk to about this was the one person who couldn't know anything. My best friend Daon, who is Jane’s husband.
I hear footsteps, and when I look down the hallway, I see Simon coming towards me looking distracted.
"What's with the long face?" Simon asked teasingly, sensing my mood.
"Can I ask you the same," I replied sharply, my frustration evident.
"My problem is a woman," Simon explains with a smirk.
"Then we're two," I responded with a wry smile, acknowledging the complexity of relationships.
He looks at me startled, his eyes widening.
"What? Can't decide which snack you're having today?" Simon jokes, trying to lighten the mood with his usual irreverence.
"No! This woman is not a snack. She's a full meal, with dessert, and she's so delicious you want to buy more to take home," I retorted, half-jokingly but also trying to convey the intensity of my feelings for Jane.
"Oh my God. My mother always said, 'In this life, you'll see things, my son,' and now I realize it's true. I've lived to see Jayden suffering over a woman. But what happened?" Simon's tone shifted slightly, showing genuine curiosity and concern.
I carefully considered whether to talk to someone about this but couldn't take it anymore.
"Let's go to my office," I finally decided, wanting to confide in Simon despite my reservations.
"Oh my God. It's not me, is it? I've told you that was just one night, and I was drunk," Simon quips, pretending to be shocked by my invitation.
"Not even if you were born again," I replied with a chuckle, appreciating Simon's attempt to lighten the atmosphere.
"Are you dismissing Miss Busan?" Simon continued with his banter, unable to resist teasing me even in serious moments.
"Is everyone around me turning into a comedian?" I sigh, recalling Jane's teasing remarks earlier and finding some relief in Simon's humor.
We reach my office, and when I turn on the light, Simon looks at me alarmed, closing the door behind him.
"Man, you're all scratched up and covered in hickeys," Simon observed with a mix of surprise and amusement.
I open my phone's front camera and see the marks she left on my body, confirming Simon's observation. Despite the situation, I can't help but smile at the memory of our intense encounter.
I slouch into my president's chair, and Simon sits in the chair in front of me, staring at me expectantly, seeking explanations.
"Was that a woman or a lioness?" Simon asked with a grin, knowing full well the effect Jane had on me.
"A lioness, very wild, sexy, with the most incredible body I've ever seen, who can enchant me with just a look and is driving me crazy," I described, my voice filled with a mix of desire and frustration.
"Okay, I need more information than that. If you're all marked up, and you disappeared all afternoon, you two were definitely having sex. Right?" Simon probes further, curious about the details of my relationship with Jane.
"Yes! Like two rabbits," I admitted with a laugh, unable to deny the passion between us.
"So what's the problem?" Simon asks bluntly, cutting to the heart of the matter.
"The problem is I want more!" I confess, my tone betrays both longing and uncertainty.
"Sex?" Simon guessed, trying to clarify.
"Not just that. I mean, also. But I want more than just sex," I explain, realizing how complicated my feelings for Jane have become.
"And what's the problem? Doesn't she like you?" Simon presses, trying to understand my dilemma.
"She does. But she's afraid. She thinks I'm superficial, that I only want her because I can't have her, and that fear keeps her away from me." I confessed.
"And why can't you have her?" Simon probed further, his tone steady, trying to understand the complexities of my situation.
I rested my face in my hands, running them through my hair as I debated whether to confide in him. Hesitated, torn between revealing the truth and protecting Jane's privacy.
"She's married." I finally admitted with a guilty tone.
"MARRIED?" Simon shouted, surprised and incredulous.
"Yes, but no need to shout," I replied defensively, feeling the weight of the situation.
He looked at me, stunned, his hand flying to cover his mouth as if trying to contain his disbelief.
"When we first met, I didn't know she was married. By the time I found out, it was already too late. I was already deeply in love with her." I explained, feeling guilty.
"In love?" Simon questioned, surprised.
"Yes, I'm very much in love with her, and honestly, I don't know what to do." I admitted, feeling the weight of this unrequited love.
"Okay, let's analyze the situation. Does she like you?" Simon asked, his tone practical yet empathetic.
"Yes!" I answered eagerly, a hint of hopefulness creeping into my voice despite the challenges.
"Is sex good?" Simon inquired bluntly, his expression serious, focusing on one of the fundamental aspects of their relationship.
I ran my hand over my face, feeling the weight of my emotions. "Good? It's surreal. That woman drives me crazy. If she wanted, I wouldn't even go back to work ever again to spend the rest of my life in bed with her," I confess, admitting the intensity of my desire for Jane.
"And have you agreed to keep seeing each other? Will you keep having sex?" Simon inquires, probing further into the dynamics of our relationship.
"I think so. We had a disagreement today, and she was a bit upset with me, but then she said she forgave me, and I hope everything's okay, although I feel awful about it," I admit, troubled by the recent tension between us.
"But what did you do?" Simon persisted, curious about the cause of our disagreement.
"Let's just say I did something she didn't want me to do, and she was very upset," I vaguely explained, reluctant to divulge more details.
"The good thing about her being married is that," Simon starts, attempting to find a silver lining in my complicated situation.
"What?" I interrupted, unsure where Simon was going with his thoughts.
"Think about it. If she's upset now, her husband will deal with it, and you just get the good part, wild sex! You spent the afternoon having sex with her, and now we're going out at night to pick up some hotties. After all, you're free. Since she's married, she can't be in your case, making demands and having boring discussions. You just get the good part!" Simon suggests with a mischievous grin, trying to lighten the mood with his unconventional perspective.
"What good part?" Daon asked, as he entered the room looking exhausted but with a smile on his face as always.
"Jayden's having an affair with a married woman," Simon announced boldly, startling me with his bluntness.
