Nancy’s POV

We take Carter’s car to Quick Pasta since it’s not on campus. The ride is quiet; neither Carter nor I try to start a conversation. However, he does play some older alternative rock band songs to fill the silence.

The roads are mostly clear of other cars; people are either still at work or school right now. Pulling into Quick Pasta, we find an empty parking spot. I get out as soon as Carter turns the car off.
