The bedroom looks strange when it's empty.

I stand in the doorway, suitcases lined up in the hallway, staring at the bare walls and uncovered windows. The skyline of Ashford estate and Ravenstone City stretches beyond the glass—steel and concrete and memories.

This place was never really ours. Just a safe house after Lydia's attack. Somewhere to hide while we healed which still turned out a mess.

But leaving still feels heavy.
