Three weeks have passed. Then four.

George recovers fully. Returns to work despite my offer to extend his medical leave.

"I'm not letting that woman keep me away from my job," he says. His voice is firm. Determined.

But the black sedan is back!

Three days now. Same car. Same tinted windows. Always two vehicles behind me in traffic.

I watch it in my rearview mirror as George navigates morning rush hour. The sedan changes lanes when we do. Slows when we slow.
