She stands at the window overlooking Ravenstone City.

I watch from the kitchen. Pretending to make coffee. Really just memorizing how she looks in my space again.

Having her here feels like oxygen after drowning. Even if it's only because someone tried to kill us.

"Coffee?" I offer. Breaking the silence.

"Please." She doesn't turn around. "Light roast if you have it."
