I stretch my arms, ready to pull Giselle close, to wrap them around her waist and breathe in that intoxicating scent she carries. Maybe even get lucky enough to make love to her again.

But the cold sheets tell a different story. They’re a clear sign she’s been up for a while now. My eyes fly open, and I immediately start looking for her.

“Giselle?” I call out, suppressing a yawn.
