As usual, I arrive at my floor, and oddly enough, my assistant isn’t at her desk. But when I see a massive arrangement of roses and lilies sitting there, I throw a quick glance at Kalet. He, on the other hand, looks hopeful—clearly proud of the beautiful gesture he left for her.
