Chapter 11 Vengeful Spirit

Just as I was about to turn around and leave, a gloomy wind blew, causing the surrounding woods to erupt with noise. I couldn't help but have a bad premonition that something bad was about to happen.

"Hahaha!" A miserable and desperate voice smiled sadly.

The laughter made my scalp tingle, and a strange tremor came from all over my body.

"What do you want to do?" I watched the changes around me vigilantly and knew that I must have done all of this in the grave. I didn't expect the resentment in her heart to have reached this level.

"What are you not doing? I just want you to stay with me!" She became exceptionally gentle again, pleading with me like a girl.

"It's getting late. I still need to hurry back as soon as possible!" I don't want to stay here long, and I don't want to make things too complicated.

"Ah, you fool, you are just a tool for him! I am a part of you, do you really have the heart to abandon me?" Her voice was filled with sadness and unwillingness.

My emotions were deeply affected by her, and it was very easy to have a resonance. After all, she and I are supposed to be a complete ghost princess.

But didn't I already promise Ming Jiu that I wouldn't hate him and blame him? How can I betray my promise? And I didn't blame him at all. You know, it was my proposal that forced him to this state.

I deserve it.

"Idiot, what are you thinking? Do you want to know why you don't have any resentment towards Ming Jiu?" She said meaningfully.

"Why?"

"Because he has already taken your vengeful spirit out of your body? Without your vengeful spirit, there will naturally be no hatred. None of your grievances and tribulations will appear in your current body." She explained patiently.

"Isn't that good? Why must I hate him?" I argued powerlessly, but in my heart, I knew that what she said was true, but I was unwilling to face the reality.

"Hate him? This isn't hatred, this is hatred!" She suddenly gritted her teeth and said. Her voice seemed to be filled with boundless sorrow and resentment.

Suddenly, dark clouds covered the sky and leaves danced about. A blood-colored mist slowly spread out from my grave.

"Do you want to see me? Do you want to see your own body?" She changed her tone of resentment and said gently to me.

"I..." I suddenly hesitated, and the icy tone Mingjiu had when he looked at me echoed in my mind.

"Princess, are you betraying me? Are you betraying your king?"

"It's all you, it's all you who told me to do this! It's because of you that I've become like this!"

"You are mine, you must believe that I always love you!"

That pair of eagle-clawed hands tightly gripped my throat, and the stinging pain spread throughout my body.

"Why not?" I finally convinced myself that I wanted to see how that man named Ming Jiu treated me.

"Alright! You're finally willing to agree!"

Just as she finished speaking, a bloody figure suddenly crawled out of the red blood mist. Her entire body was wrapped in black flames, and every step she took in front of me would cause her to groan as if nothing had happened.

As she slowly approached, I saw her clearly. No, it was me.

The long white dress was stained with dazzling blood. The black flames were sucked into her skin and flesh, as if she could smell charred skin.

The originally handsome face was covered in countless scars, and it was extremely ferocious.

What was particularly penetrating was that her eyes were both white.

"Do you see me? Do you see yourself? He's lying to you!" She suddenly shouted at me in extreme pain.

After hearing this, I suddenly felt an incomparable pain. I didn't understand why she had become like this.

Originally, I thought that she was just a missing part of my body, but she was simply receiving a kind of abnormal punishment.

"Ming Jiu, are you really lying to me?" I suddenly felt inexplicable sadness, and tears of grievance were about to fall.

"What do you think? What's on the throne with him is just a heartless body? Aren't you awakened?" She began to be aggressive, and the accumulated resentment in her eyes seemed to erupt like a volcano.

"No, I don't know." I began to instinctively resist her sharp questioning and began to flee. I didn't want to be a ghost princess anymore. I just wanted to return safely from here to see my parents and enjoy the warmth of this world like an ordinary person.

"I have to go!" I announced to her.

"What?" "You bitch! You don't know how much pain I've suffered here! I'm your heart! You don't even want your heart!"

While she was venting her pain and scolding me happily, the surrounding blood mist slowly condensed and turned into countless human-shaped objects.

"It's time for me to take charge of my own body, you damn bitch!" Her eyes were red and almost bleeding.

"Why do you have to do this!" I'm confused.

"I am your vengeful spirit. Only I know how much pain and grievance I have suffered. Only I know Ming Jiu's true face. And you are a complete fool who has been played from the beginning to the end!"

After she finished speaking, she suddenly let out a shrill scream. Her body seemed to erupt with red flames, instantly devouring the black flame cord. At the same time, the transformed blood mist on her forehead quickly rushed towards me.

Seeing their bloody arms slowly wrap around my body, I tried to shake off these tentacles, but to no avail.

"Stop struggling. Be good. Close your eyes. It'll be fine in a moment!" A trace of tenderness appeared on her sinister smile.

I didn't close my eyes as she said, although I knew I was like fish and could only be slaughtered by her. I looked at her and she smiled at me lightly. A few flashes came to me like a ghost.

"Haha! It'll be fine soon! You won't hurt!" She tapped on my heart with her slender finger and smiled, "Look, it's empty. That's where I belong!"

"Please, don't do this!" I looked at her terrifying face and pleaded with her.

"What, are you afraid? Are you afraid of the cruel truth?" A mocking smile appeared at the corner of her mouth, but it instantly turned into a wisp of red smoke that shot towards my heart like lightning.
