The man took a seat opposite us, leaning back casually. “My name’s Luscious,” he said, his voice calm and steady. “And you must be the ones Selemena mentioned. So, which of you is here to learn about the Fae kingdom?”

Kate immediately turned to me, motioning for me to speak. I felt a lump form in my throat as all the attention shifted to me. Clearing my throat nervously, I said, “That would be me. I’m Bella.”
