We continued walking along the narrow forest path, the sound of our footsteps crunching against the dry leaves filling the air. My legs were starting to ache, and my patience was wearing thin. Kate, however, didn’t seem to share my exhaustion. She was busy giggling and tossing her hair as she flirted shamelessly with Luscious, who maintained a polite but distant demeanor, occasionally offering her a slight smile or nod.
