I woke up to the soft glow of morning light streaming through the curtains, the warmth of Lucian’s arms still lingering around me even though he was no longer there. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, I turned my head and saw him standing by the wardrobe, already dressed in a crisp white shirt and dark slacks.
