DEVLIN

The smell hits before I even open my eyes. Acidic. Pungent.

Hospital.

I gasp to wake.

The blinding white lights rain down on me with a force to be reckoned with. Unforgiving. I try to sit up but every inch of me feels attached to something. Pins. Wires. Whatever.

I am attached to a bunch of stuff like fucking livestock. It’s hellish that my body doesn’t listen to me. Not in the slightest. Nothing responds to will.
