After the board meeting I retreated to my office trying to process everything that had happened and Alexander followed with a bottle of champagne from Richard's private collection.

"We should celebrate." He closed the door and found two glasses in Richard's bar cabinet. "You just survived your first major board challenge and came out stronger."
