After dinner and hours of talking, the tension between us became impossible to ignore.

Lily was curled against me on the couch and every time she shifted I became more aware of her body pressed to mine.

"I should probably go home." She said it without conviction. "It's getting late."

"You could stay." I ran my fingers through her hair. "I have a guest room if you want space."
