Lily's POV

Bruno Sterling's office door was closed when I arrived at 8 AM Monday morning and Janet said he'd asked not to be disturbed until our meeting.

I knocked and he opened it immediately, looking like he hadn't slept.

"Miss Rose, come in. Close the door and lock it."

The seriousness in his voice made my stomach drop and I did as he asked.
