Tuesday morning James showed up at my office before eight with his laptop and an expression that meant bad news.

"We have a serious information security problem." He closed the door and set his laptop on my desk. "Victor Walter knew about our lender negotiation strategy before we finalized it. Someone's been feeding him real-time updates."
